This quartersawn white oak vanity with curved drawer faces, hand-turned knobs, and matte finish was designed to accommodate two small basins fitted into a marble top. The vintage Art Nouveau drawer pulls are from South Africa.
The medicine cabinet is crafted of solid mahogany. The doors, which have mirrors on their inside as well as outside faces, are hung on salvaged steeple-tipped hinges and opened by means of an antique key held within a handmade mahogany escutcheon. A hand-carved tulip design on the pediment complements various carved tulip motifs in the homeowners' antique bedroom furniture. |
A cypress linen cupboard is recessed into the wall above the toilet. |
